Historic Sam Lynn Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the Stockton Ports and Bakersfield Blaze.

The Bakersfield Blaze topped the Stockton Ports, 4-2, in California League action at Historic Sam Lynn Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Bakersfield pitcher Drew Poletti. Bakersfield is now 23-54, Stockton 40-37.

Alfredo Molina was 1 for 3 for Bakersfield. The 26-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Steve Mitchell. It was his 11th RBI of the season.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Poletti said.
