The Inland Empire 66ers picked up a win at San Manuel Stadium, knocking off the Lancaster JetHawks, 5-2. Starting pitcher Melvin Aguayo was a big reason why. Aguayo picked up the win for Inland Empire, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 4-5. Armando Gutierrez closed out the game, earning his 3rd save.

Heriberto Esparza, who is tied for 5th in the CAL in RBI with 42, had a timely hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. With one out and the bases loaded, the Inland Empire shortstop hit a run-scoring single. That put the 66ers in front, 3-2.

"It's always extra special to win at home," said Aguayo.
