Though he had a terrific game, Adam Ross could not prevent his team, the San Jose Giants, from absorbing a loss. Visalia won the game, 5-4. Ross went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs. Getting the save was Luis Figueroa, his 1st. With the win, Visalia upped its record to 41-39.

Visalia used a well-timed hit by Dave Keiber to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rawhide ahead, 5-3. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"We squandered some opportunities," said San Jose manager Fernando Melendez.
