The High Desert Mavericks handed the Lancaster JetHawks a 6-2 defeat at Stater Bros. Stadium. Second Baseman Hugo Vasquez starred for High Desert. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Rick Watson got the save, the 9th for him this season. The Mavericks go to 20-61 with the win.

With the bases empty and no one out in the bottom of the sixth inning, catcher Miguel Montes delivered big for the Mavericks. High Desert was trailing 2-1 when he belted a solo home run.
