The Stockton Ports beat the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes by a score of 6-5. Stockton pinch hitter Gabe Garcia deserved the lion's share of the credit. Garcia was 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Ports. Despite the win, the Ports still have a lousy 24-57 record.

Garcia had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 2-2 fastball from Russ Focht, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Ports a 6-5 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Garcia.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Garcia.
