Cueto Now 1-1 Following 4-1 Win
|
The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes beat the Stockton Ports, 4-1. Rancho Cucamonga pitcher and Chicago, Illinois, native Tony Cueto led the way. The 'W' lifts Rancho Cucamonga's record to 46-35.
Cueto was the winning pitcher. He raised his season record to 1-1. In 8 innings of work, Cueto gave up 1 run on 3 hits, while striking out 6. The Ports were never able to generate much offense.
"Tony was locating, throwing all of his pitches," said Rancho Cucamonga manager Francisco Rosales. "He did a heck of a job."
