Losing Streak Continues for Blaze with 5-1 Loss to Giants
|
San Jose Giants starter Marshall Facey was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Bakersfield Blaze, 5-1. The misery never ends for the Blaze, who've lost 10 in a row.
The Giants got a big at-bat from first baseman Sean Hamm. For the game, Hamm went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave San Jose a 3-1 lead.
"I told my wife I'm not changing my underwear again until we win," said losing manager Jerry Zuniga. "I haven't seen her since last Tuesday."
