Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Matt Wiley, the Stockton Ports defeated the Inland Empire 66ers, 7-1. Wiley was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Ports. Today's win puts Stockton at 45-41, while Inland Empire falls to 30-56.

Wiley had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-2 fastball from Juan Sanchez, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Ports a 2-0 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Wiley.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Wiley, "one at-bat at a time."
