The San Jose Giants got a superb performance from pitcher Ethan Sanders, but the Lake Elsinore Storm still won the game, 3-2. Sanders threw 8.0 innings of 1-hit ball. The Storm now have a record of 41-49.

The decisive blow was delivered by Chris Alwine in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run double off 22-year old left-handed pitcher Tim King to win the game for Lake Elsinore. The home crowd went nuts.

"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Alwine said.
