The Lake Elsinore Storm powered past the Stockton Ports, 9-4, at Banner Island Ballpark. Josh Grillot was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2, to lead the charge. Picking up the win was Ollie Boudreaux. He went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits. The right--hander struck out 10 and walked 3. Mike Joseph, who is tied for 7th in the CAL in holds with 6, earned the save for Lake Elsinore.

Lake Elsinore used a clutch at-bat from Corey Lanham to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Storm ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Lanham told the Lake Elsinore Citizen.

With the win, Lake Elsinore upped its record to 53-37.
