Blue Jays Rally For 5-3 Win
|
Toronto first baseman Dennis Desper played a vital role in his team's 5-3 triumph over Cleveland. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Toronto. Greg Earle, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit. With the win, Toronto climbs to 9-3.
Desper dealt the big blow in the bottom of the ninth. That's when he launched a 2-run home run off Cleveland pitcher Matt Quint to win it for the Blue Jays.
"We're just going to try to build off this win," said Desper.
