Rancho Cucamonga Topples Lake Elsinore, 8-7
Kai Robinson powered the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes to a win over the Lake Elsinore Storm. The final score was 8-7. The Rancho Cucamonga right fielder, who is tied for 2nd in the CAL with a .976 OPS, was phenomenal. He stroked 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Reliever Juan Rogue picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Jerry D'Alessandro took the loss. The first-place Quakes now have a win-loss record of 61-37.

Rancho Cucamonga used a timely hit from former first round draft pick Josh Buffington to get the win. The catcher delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the sixth inning to put the Quakes on top, 8-7. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was huge.

"I'm trying to keep it simple," said Buffington. "Just do my job."
