The Lancaster JetHawks pasted the Inland Empire 66ers with a convincing 11-1 defeat at The Hanger. Alberto Rojas was a prime factor in the Lancaster win. He was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Lancaster starter Justin Matthews was credited with the win after throwing 102 pitches over 7 innings. Alex Ruiz had a big 3-run home run for the JetHawks in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Lancaster trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he sized up a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Kevin Plume and punished it. The result was his 18th home run of the season, which put the JetHawks on top, 3-1.
