Lake Elsinore Nerve Tested in 3-2 Win
The Lake Elsinore Storm, despite a fine performance by Stockton pitcher Xavier Davis, grabbed a 3-2 win at Lake Elsinore Diamond. Davis allowed 1 run over 7.2 innings. Lake Elsinore pitcher Jonathan Remien earned the win, hiking his record to 8-5. Pedro Sambrano suffered the loss. The Storm saw their record improve to 56-45.

Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, 26-year old catcher Matt Johnson had a chance to be the hero. Stockton pitcher Pedro Sambrano had other ideas. But with one out, Johnson drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Storm had themselves a dramatic win.

"We saved our best for last," said Johnson.
