JetHawks Topple 66ers, 6-2
|
Lancaster turned a good effort from starter Johnny Gibson into a win over the Inland Empire 66ers at San Manuel Stadium. The final score was 6-2. Lancaster now sits at 64-38, while Inland Empire falls to 42-60.
Nate Lazor went 1-3 with a walk and was hit by a pitch for Lancaster. The 27-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Max Prentice. It was his 27th RBI of the season.
"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Jose Gomez.
