66ers Sneak By Storm, 2-1

The Inland Empire 66ers in 11 innings beat the Lake Elsinore Storm, 2-1, at Lake Elsinore Diamond. Starting pitcher David Ferber was a major factor, holding his opponents in check all game. Their 40-64 record puts the 66ers last in the South Division.
Inland Empire used the timely hitting of Robby Rothbaum to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the 66ers on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"We were determined to pick up this win," said Rothbaum.
