Lake Elsinore Gets 5-4 Win
The Lake Elsinore Storm beat the High Desert Mavericks, 5-4, in part because of designated hitter Jeremy Crowder. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2. Brian Massey earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. He upped his record to 11-6. Eric Newman earned the save for Lake Elsinore, his 7th.

C.J. Souza drew 1 walk for Lake Elsinore. The 23-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Ricky Ruano. It was his 12th walk of the season.
