The Lake Elsinore Storm pounded the Inland Empire 66ers, 14-1, at Lake Elsinore Diamond. Lake Elsinore catcher Sean Neidigh had a game-changing performance. He was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5. The first-place Storm now sit at 68-37.

The Storm got a big hit from right fielder Hector Avila. Facing Inland Empire pitcher Edwin Gonzalez in the bottom of the seventh, Avila pounded a 3-run home run to right. His 3rd home run of the season put the Storm ahead, 11-1.

"That game went belly up quickly," said losing manager Jonathan Vasquez.
