Roy Underhill was in top form in a tight contest between Modesto and Stockton. The Nuts right-hander helped his team beat the Ports, 2-1. James Parsons sewed up the save, his 7th. At 56-50, the Nuts claim third place in the North Division.

Underhill kept the Ports under his thumb. He scattered 1 hit over 6 innings, while striking out 9. The right-hander upped his season record to 2-0.

"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Underhill.
