Starlin Befuddles High Desert in 2-0 Rancho Cucamonga Win
|
Magic was in the air and on the mound at LoanMart Field, as Tony Starlin held the High Desert Mavericks spellbound in his 2-0 shutout victory. The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes pitcher went the distance, rang up 12 strikeouts, walked 2, and held the Mavericks to 4 hits.
"He just had us in his thrall," High Desert manager Jose Sierra said. "We couldn't put anything together against him."
