The Lake Elsinore Storm defeated the Inland Empire 66ers, 7-5, at Lake Elsinore Diamond. Lake Elsinore was led by 24-year old catcher Nick Mattison, who went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The slumping 66ers have lost 7 straight.

Lake Elsinore took advantage of an error in the bottom of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 4-4, when Robby Bethel hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Storm in front, 5-4.
