Castro Leads Rancho Cucamonga to 4-0 Win
|
Antonio Castro never let the 66ers get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Quakes to a win, 4-0. The win makes Rancho Cucamonga 76-33.
It was a remarkable effort from Castro, who is one of the team leaders. Castro recorded 9 strikeouts in 7 innings while allowing 2 hits. Castro, who is tied for 10th in the CAL in innings pitched with 133.2, moves to 13-6 on the year with 155 strikeouts.
"Come up with some new questions," snapped losing manager Mike Scarpa to reporters, "and I'll come up with some new answers."
