The Visalia Rawhide stopped the Inland Empire 66ers, 6-2, at San Manuel Stadium. The Rawhide got a big game from Ashton Whiteside, who was 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Juan Mendoza notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. His record now sits at 3-4. With the win, Visalia pushed its record to 59-53.

Whiteside had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a 1-1 fastball from Alexis Archuleta, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Rawhide a 5-2 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Whiteside.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Visalia manager Colton Burns.
