In a tight contest at Lake Elsinore Diamond, the Lancaster JetHawks edged the Lake Elsinore Storm by the score of 6-5. Lancaster catcher Gary Wilson, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Ben Montgomery got the save, his 10th in 12 chances. The JetHawks go to 59-53, putting them third in the South Division.

Wilson had a timely hit for Lancaster in the top of the seventh. With Lake Elsinore trailing 5-4, he turned a 1-2 fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season, making it 6-5, Lancaster.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Wilson told the Lancaster News. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
