High Desert beat Visalia on the strength of starting pitcher Chris Gormley's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-1. Gormley got the win, improving to 8-3. He gave up 3 hits and walked 2 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. High Desert is now 48-65, while Visalia is 50-63.
