Mavericks Score Late to Extend Streak
The 5-4 High Desert win over Bakersfield was due largely to Elliot Hohl. The Mavericks catcher went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Reliever Simon McAfee picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Casey Pittman took the loss. The wins continue to add up for High Desert, with the latest making it 10 in a row.

Hohl had a timely hit for High Desert in the top of the eighth. With Bakersfield trailing 4-3, he turned a 1-0 fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season, making it 5-4, High Desert.

"The wins are coming in bunches right now," said Hohl. "We'll enjoy it while it lasts."
