Nuts Knock Off Storm at John Thurman Field
The Modesto Nuts converted a terrific effort from starter Cesar Sifuentes into a win over the Lake Elsinore Storm at John Thurman Field. The Nuts won the game by a final score of 8-2. The winner was Sifuentes. He threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Eddie Heber. Ramiro Paredese got the save, the 1st for him this season.

Gordie Green, who is tied for 5th in the CAL in runs scored with 63, came through for Modesto with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the sixth. The left fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 4 RBI.
