At Historic Sam Lynn Ballpark, the Bakersfield Blaze and Inland Empire 66ers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Rob Bauman powered the Inland Empire 66ers to a win over the Bakersfield Blaze. The final score was 6-4. The Inland Empire third baseman was phenomenal. He stroked 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Moises Rico notched his 2nd save of the season.

Inland Empire took a 6-3 lead on Bauman's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Antonio Roman in the top of the eighth, propelled Inland Empire to the win.

"Not the sexiest win," said 66ers manager Jonathan Vasquez, "but I'll take it."

Even with the win, the 66ers have a dismal 28-87 record.
