The Lake Elsinore Storm knocked off the Stockton Ports, 4-3, in California League action at Banner Island Ballpark. Lake Elsinore pitcher and Troy, New York, native Travis Cook had an outstanding performance. Getting the save was Mike Riley, his 3rd. The loss makes Stockton 37-81.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Jaden Steinhauer? The 22-year old third baseman Steinhauer stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Lake Elsinore up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Stockton manager Mark Zoss.
