Miguel Murillo pitched well, but the Modesto Nuts still lost the game, falling 3-1 to the Lake Elsinore Storm at John Thurman Field. The win was credited to Wu Situ in relief. His record improves to 8-13. Miguel Murillo took the loss. The Storm raised their record to 51-67.

It could have been a different outcome for Lake Elsinore, had it not been for Brock Czerwinski, the 24-year old third baseman . Czerwinski contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Lake Elsinore up, 1-0.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Czerwinski.
