Fading Rawhide Lose 7th Straight
The Lake Elsinore Storm topped the Visalia Rawhide, 5-3, in California League action at Recreation Park. The standout performance belonged to Lake Elsinore pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native Juan Roybal. Nick Britton snagged the win in relief. He goes to 4-1 on the season. Hector Casares suffered the loss. At 58-60, Lake Elsinore is in second place in the South Division.

Lake Elsinore used the timely hitting of Amaro Alfarela to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Storm on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Visalia skipper Josh Millender.
