Right-hander Brad MacDonald mesmerized the Inland Empire 66ers while leading the San Jose Giants to a 2-0 victory. The loss makes Inland Empire 51-69.

Kevin Shaffer, who is tied for 9th in the CAL in total bases with 188, had a direct impact on the outcome. Shaffer contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put San Jose up, 2-0.
