The Lake Elsinore Storm faced a tough opponent in Modesto pitcher Jason Walden, but did just enough to pull out the victory at John Thurman Field by a final score of 6-4. Walden went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Lake Elsinore reliever Toshiyuki Masukawa picked up the win, upping his record to 8-7. Youp van Lieshout took the loss. Lake Elsinore is 4th in the South Division with a record of 52-68.

Lake Elsinore used the clutch hitting of Corey Noto to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the 14th inning to give the Storm the lead, 5-4. For the game, Noto had 2 singles and 1 double in 6 at-bats.
