66ers 5-0 Losers to Lake Elsinore
|
Inland Empire got a terrific performance from pitcher Melvin Aguayo, but it wasn't enough to beat the Lake Elsinore Storm. Lake Elsinore won the San Manuel Stadium contest, 5-0. Aguayo threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. The Storm now own a record of 80-44.
Lake Elsinore used the hitting of Ryan Curran to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Storm on top, 4-0. For the game, Curran had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Said Inland Empire manager Jonathan Vasquez: "We weren't able to do much."
