Ralston, Bakersfield Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
In a well-pitched game between the Bakersfield Blaze and the Stockton Ports, pitcher Ken Ralston was fantastic. The Bakersfield right-hander helped his team secure the win, 1-0. Earning his 25th save of the year was Jared Skinkis. By defeating Stockton, the third-place Blaze improved to 59-65.
Ralston, the winning pitcher, raised his record to 2-1. In 8.1 innings of work, Ralston gave up no runs on 3 hits, while racking up 7 Ks. He kept the Ports punchless, offensively.
"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Ralston. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
