Quakes Triumph, 3-1, in 14 Innings
|
Rancho Cucamonga starter Dan Baker put a stranglehold on the Bakersfield offense. The right-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Quakes to a 3-1 win. Ed Negron got the save, his 1st in 1 chances. Rancho Cucamonga is looking good at 84-40.
Rancho Cucamonga went up, 3-1, on Julio Maldonado's 4th triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which Maldonado hit in the top of the 14th, left Bakersfield pitcher Miguel Hernandez shaking his head.
In postgame remarks, Maldonado hailed his team's "mettle."
