The Lancaster JetHawks picked up a win at Lake Elsinore Diamond, topping the Lake Elsinore Storm, 6-4. On the mound for Lancaster was left-hander Jose Diaz. He played a principal role in the triumph. Mike Belliveau got credit for the save for Lancaster. It was his 9th of the year. Lancaster is now 70-56.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Phil Gilbert? The 23-year old shortstop Gilbert stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put Lancaster up, 6-4. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Gilbert told the Lancaster News.
