Rancho Cucamonga Quakes starter Ryan Gates turned in a top-notch performance against the Bakersfield Blaze at Historic Sam Lynn Ballpark. The result was a win for the Quakes, 8-1. The Rancho Cucamonga win streak is now 4 games.
Grant Crothers did the little things right to help the team against the Blaze. In the top of the first inning, he reached on an error by the right fielder, driving in 2 run3, putting Rancho Cucamonga in front, 2-0.
"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Jerry Zuniga.
