Ports Trip Blaze, 4-1, in Extra Innings
The Stockton Ports took Bakersfield pitcher Mike LaCoursiere's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Historic Sam Lynn Ballpark. The final score had Stockton getting past the Blaze, 4-1. LaCoursiere went 6.1 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 6. At 64-64, the Ports claim third place in the North Division.

Stockton used a timely hit from Mike Gohring to get the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Ports ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Gohring said.
