Youngs gets 6 RBI as Mavericks Squash Ports
The High Desert Mavericks got production from their entire lineup in an easy 14-1 win over the Stockton Ports. Doing his part was shortstop Barrett Youngs. Youngs, who leads the CAL in stolen bases with 60, went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 6. High Desert is in 4th place in the South Division with a record of 50-78.

With High Desert leading 8-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Youngs came up to bat against Stockton pitcher Jose Espinosa. Youngs hit a fastball to right for a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Mavericks on top, 12-0.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Stockton manager Jon Rosales. "They smoked us."
