JetHawks Chop Down 66ers, 3-0

The Lancaster JetHawks knocked off the Inland Empire 66ers, 3-0, in California League action at The Hanger. Lancaster pitcher and Norton, Ohio, native Cao-Ky Tran-Thanh had an outstanding performance. Tran-Thanh, now 3-3, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 1 hit, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing no runs. The save was credited to Manabu Takai, his 2nd.
The 66ers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the JetHawks going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old center fielder Gary Tishler came to the plate. Tishler hit a 2-run home run on a 1-1 curveball from Inland Empire hurler Darius Frederick. It was Tishler's 4th home run of the year.
Tishler called the win "an overall solid one."
The JetHawks improved their record to 26-104 with the win over Inland Empire.
