The Bakersfield Blaze got a sterling performance from pitcher Alejandro Aparicio, but the Stockton Ports still prevailed, 4-3. Aparicio threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Stockton reliever Steve Mitchell was the winner. His record is now 11-10. The losing pitcher was Chris Killman. Bakersfield has now lost 4 consecutive games.

Stockton used the timely hitting of T.J. Holland to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Ports on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We found a way to get it done," Holland said.
