Pirates Suffer 5-1 Loss to San Francisco
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the San Francisco Giants and Pittsburgh Pirates.

San Francisco Giants starter Tony Wise was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Pittsburgh Pirates, 5-1. San Francisco has a record of 7-7.

The Pirates had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Giants going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 28-year old left fielder Danny Bute came to the plate. Bute hit a run-scoring double on a 2-0 cutter from Pittsburgh hurler Bobby Keever. It was Bute's 2nd double of the year.

"You never take a win for granted in this league," said Bute.
