The Colorado Rockies had to overcome a big game from Milwaukee right fielder Pat Yaeger to leave Miller Park with a victory. And they did, winning, 8-7. Yaeger went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times. A.J. O'Farrell earned the save for Colorado, his 7th. Milwaukee, with the loss, is 11-4.

Willie Montelongo came through with a big-time hit for Colorado. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 8-7. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"You can't hate how you win if you win," said Colorado skipper Trevor Taka.
