Donahue Performance to No Avail in 10-5 Pirates Loss
Pittsburgh first baseman Randy Donahue pounded Texas Rangers pitchers at PNC Park, but it was not enough to keep the Pirates from falling, 10-5. Donahue hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Pittsburgh is 7-8 after the loss.

Texas used a clutch at-bat from Chiaki Koike to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Rangers ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"It's nice to see a lot of guys make contributions," said Rangers manager Stephen Gesualdi.
