Giants Take Tight Tilt, 2-1
|
In a well-pitched game between the San Francisco Giants and the Cincinnati Reds, pitcher Andy Cote was fantastic. The San Francisco right-hander helped his team secure the win, 2-1. In 5.2 innings, Cote surrendered 1 hit, while striking out 10 and walking 5. He allowed 1 run. San Francisco, at 13-3, is off to a blistering start.
Masataka Kato made an early impact for San Francisco when he stroked his 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which came with one out in the bottom of the first, put the Giants on top, 2-0.
"I was the aggressor," said Cote. "No doubt about it."
