Thanks in large part to first baseman Chris Cheney, the Inland Empire 66ers beat the Lake Elsinore Storm, 5-0. Cheney was 2-3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win went to Ryan Dennis in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Mike Avila took the loss. After today's action, Inland Empire sits at 64-69; Lake Elsinore slips to 66-67.
