Toronto Loses, 3-2, to Kansas City in 11
|
Kansas City starter Scott Bowling pitched well against the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2, in 11 innings. Kansas City reliever Dallas Roden picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Andres Sauri was saddled with the loss. Picking up the save was 28-year old left-handed pitcher Bobby Day.
Kansas City used the timely hitting of Muneo Kojima to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Royals on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Bowling.
Kansas City is now 11-8.
