Big Day for Duren in 9-1 Twins Win
A 4-RBI performance from Jason Duren, who won the Ben Celeste Rookie of the Year Award in 2110, helped the Minnesota Twins beat the New York Yankees, 9-1. Dean Schuurmans was the winner. He's now 1-2. The loser was 29-year old right-handed pitcher Nate Merritt. With the win, Minnesota elevates its record to 10-9.

Early in the game, shortstop Brock Carson had a 2-run double for Minnesota. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Twins on top, 2-0.

"They took it to us," said New York manager Mike Hanson.
