Blue Jays Lose, 5-1, at Target Field
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of the former first round draft pick Billy Hinson, the Minnesota Twins stopped the Toronto Blue Jays, 5-1, in 9 innings. Minnesota reliever Ron Hazard was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Alex Bartolo. The loss puts Toronto at 10-9.
Early in the game, Hinson had a 2-run home run for Minnesota. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Twins on top, 2-0.
"We did the things it takes to win a ballgame," said Minnesota manager Chris Greuling.
