Chicago Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Texas Rangers could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Tyler Gaskins into a win. Instead, the Chicago Cubs prevailed, 5-4. Gaskins threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Andrew Gray snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Mike Poole suffered the loss. Texas now has a record of 9-10.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Chicago left fielder Noah Wilder, facing Mike Poole, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Cubs the 5-4 win.

"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Vin Calia, the Chicago skipper.
