Cardinals Land Close Win
The St. Louis Cardinals earned a close win over the Houston Astros, thanks in part to Jason Weisel. The St. Louis right-hander played a key role in the 12-inning, 3-2 victory. The win went to Jonathan Reddington in relief, making him now 2-1. Ethan Gordon took the loss for Houston. With the loss, Houston is 8-11.

St. Louis got a game-changing hit from Jay Gunter. The third baseman blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the 12th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a winner.

In postgame remarks, Gunter simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
