Phillies Lose to Dodgers, 6-2
|
The Dodgers grabbed a win, 6-2, at Citizens Bank Park, overcoming a fine effort from Philadelphia pitcher Eric Allard. Allard went 5 innings and allowed 4 runs. The winner was Los Angeles reliever David Revis, now 2-0. The loser was Eric Allard. The win takes Los Angeles to 12-8.
Los Angeles used the bat of John Spohn to get the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Dodgers ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"At least I did my job," Spohn said.
